Brussels, 04.03.2021. – The NAPOCTEP Project now has a total of 22 Collaborating Entities to contribute to the enhancement of heritage and sustainable tourism.

The consortium of the NAPOCTEP project welcomes the reception that the figure of Collaborating Entity is having, since it was created with the aim of involving the citizens of the municipalities through which the Napoleonic routes pass and thus join forces around the proposal of a common and quality tourism offer.

The adhesion of these four new entities in the last week, the City Council of Cigales (Valladolid), the City Council of Pozaldez (Valladolid), the Rueda Wine Route (Valladolid) and the Toro Wine Route (Zamora), is an important step forward for the project and shows the importance of involving the local population in the development of long-term strategies.

The presence so far of 5 Wine Routes gives a great added value to the routes as, in addition to supporting the economy and local products, it encourages the development of a sustainable tourism model, which adds value to the area where it is developed and attracts a quality-sensitive public.

The agreement of adhesion to the network of Collaborating Entities includes the commitment to mutual cooperation, the exchange of information, the dissemination of tourist resources and other activities of interest for the development of the project and its dissemination. Furthermore, this agreement is based on the idea of cooperation and joining forces as essential elements for international marketing.

Currently, the network of NAPOCTEP Project Collaborating Entities is made up of 22 entities, a number that is expected to continue to increase in the coming months with the incorporation of more Spanish and, above all, Portuguese entities. This network also has a specific space on the project’s website.
