Brussels 16.04.2020 NAPOCTEP project is already in the European programme Interreg Volunteer Youth, one of the initiatives of the European Solidarity Corps. Thanks to adding the Interreg Volunteer Youth project they can incorporate and use the programme’s logo.
The Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY) is part of the European Solidarity Corps. It is a programme that enables doing a traineeship within a partnership that has an approved Interreg project. Under this assumption, the NAPOCTEP project is included, financed with a 75% by the Cross-border Cooperation Programme Interreg VC Spain-Portugal-POCTEP (2014-2020).
One of the main objectives of the project is the creation of a touristic and cultural product based on the rich heritage of the Napoleonic times in the regions of Castilla y León and centre of Portugal. It also has a dimension related to the capacity of young people to get to the labour market.
Closely related to this, Finnova Foundation, beneficiary of NAPOCTEP project presented a request to host a volunteer approved by the body that manages the Interreg Volunteer Youth programme.
“The volunteering programme makes participants aim for boosting cooperation and related values through European frontiers; while they help their host organizations, volunteers gain a unique experience regarding personal growth and develop skills that they can use for future experiences” has been informed from the Interreg Volunteer Youth webpage. The Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY) was created 1st March 2017 and is managed by the European Association of Border Regions (AEBR in Spanish).
What does it mean for NAPOCTEP being part of this programme? It is authorised to use the logo that identifies it. This logo will be included on their webpage, social networks and other media.
It will also enable creating synergies with programmes, projects and/or beneficiaries that are part of Interreg Volunteer Youth and in this way, network and share good practices and other media tasks.
All of this will be included under the perspective of integration, solidarity and border collaboration. These concepts are also an essential part of NAPOCTEP project.
· It should be considered that given the COVID-19 situation international traineeship programmes have come to a halt and all processes will be reactivated after the sanitarian crisis.
