Battle of Bussaco
What is it?
The battle of Bussaco took place during the 3rd French Invasion. In 1810, the French troops commanded by marshal Massena – formed by three army cops and a reserve cavalry corp – invaded Portugal.
Portugal was helpep by the British army commanded by its Lieutenant General, Wellington, Duke of Wellington. This one was one the multiple battles that these two armies fought but it had relevance in the context of the Peninsular War, specially in the 3rd Invasion in the 19th century.
