3 Nations Astorga
What is it?
Astorga conmemorates the final days od 1808 and the first days of 1809 when the town was the centre of the Peninsular War.
Why? Because the city and its surroundings provided shelter to the French and Spanish armies and they planned their withdrawals – one of them by using El Manzanal’s pass and the other one left the town for Foncebadón -. But at the same tine, Napoleon entered in the town.
The 3 Nations Astorga agenda includes exhibitions, conferences and guide visits to the different camps. Moreover, there will be two battles.
